HARDWARE
If you've ever
tried to find replacement hardware for your futon frame, you know it's tough. The local
hardware store doesn't sell futon parts, and neither do most futon stores. Only a
specialty futon store that's been around as long as we have, can possibly help.
During our 18 years in business, we have collected and saved hundreds of spare parts and hardware from
old, discontinued futon frames. However, as every manufacturer makes their futon frames
differently, there are many varieties and sizes of hardware, bolts, etc. Since there is no
way of cataloging these by part numbers, our way of helping customers involves making a
visual match. Customers bring existing futon frame parts into our store and we make the
best possible match, at minimal cost.
If the customer
has lost all the hardware (sometimes movers are sooo careless!), we may need to see the
two pieces of frame that fit together - i.e. an arm and a rail. BE SURE TO CALL AHEAD TO
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT with one of our technical people on this. Bring the pieces to the
store and park your vehicle directly outside. We'll take a look and do our best to help.
Please
Note: We are unable to ship futon parts since our limited supply is kept
solely for existing and local San Diego customers. Please come into the store for a
suitable match for your missing piece.
If you do not live in San Diego County and cannot visit our store, try calling your local
futon specialty store listed in the yellow pages. |
REPAIRS

Broken futon
frames always need to be examined before we know whether they can be saved. PLEASE CALL
AHEAD to discuss the problem with one of our technical people, before bringing the futon
frame to the store for repair. We can often assess the possibility of repair over the
telephone, saving you (and your frame) an unnecessary trip.
Please
Note:
Unfortunately we are unable to repair metal body futon frames. These are made of hollow
aluminum tubing and only spot-welded together. (The warranty on these is usually only
three months.) This type of futon frame is not very strong, can bend or break easily, and
is almost impossible to repair. |
