Leslee Evans has been changing the way
people think about futons since 1987, when she began her business at Koby's Swap Meet. At
that time, futons were made of cotton only. They were inexpensive, but didn't last very
long, becoming flat, lumpy and uncomfortable within a short period of time.
To improve the
quality for her customers, Leslee began manufacturing her own cotton and foam mattresses,
producing a more comfortable and durable product. Her business began to grow dramatically,
and she opened the North Park store in 1990, to offer a wider range of futons, furniture
and home accessories.
The real
revolution in futons occurred several years later, when a smart, family-owned bed
manufacturer produced a flexible innerspring futon mattress. This new development changed
the industry forever and now a wide range of beautiful, long-lasting and well-made sofas
in various sizes, are easily converted to comfortable beds. Recently, hi-tech Reflex, and
Memory Foam futons have also been added to the range. These offer the ultimate in luxury
and a wonderful night's rest. |
